filmmakers ~ storytellers ~ artists
I'm Leah Richardson, owner of Selah Films. Let me congratulate you on your engagement! I’m excited you are looking into having your wedding day filmed. I cannot tell you how many couples have told me that investing in a wedding film was by far the best investment they made for their wedding. That said, choosing a right fit for a wedding filmmaker can be challenging. In addition to budget, its important to consider both filming and editing style to be sure that they are the right fit for you. At Selah Films we produce cinematic wedding films and our goal is to artistically capture the heart of your day and simply tell your wedding love story.
a bit about our style ...
Filmmaking is all about storytelling. Thats why I believe, as a storyteller, its important to follow the natural flow of your wedding day. When watching your Short Film and/or Feature Film, we want it to be a satisfying and emotional experience for you from beginning to end. Getting ready for your big day and anticipating what is to come, the guests seated and bridal party entrance, all the emotional and special moments of the ceremony, the excitement (and relief) when the ceremony is over and all the wonderful moments of the celebration that follows.
There are obvious highlights we know you won’t want us to miss —and not so obvious highlights as well. Sometimes the most powerful memories are drawn from the smallest details. We aim to artistically film both formal ceremonies, as well as candid moments with all the laugher and tears. We will be discreet, but always present, ready to document your day and creatively tell your wedding story as it unfolds naturally.
At Selah Films, we take pride in our creative process. While we hope you choose us as your wedding filmmakers, if you feel we are not the right fit for you, we will be happy to recommend other talented wedding filmmakers whose style may better suit your own.
EVER PRESENT HARDLY NOTICED
With Leah as your lead camera and final editor, we have a very talented second/third camera crew. Our goal at Selah Films is to be present to capture every moment of your special day and at the same time be hardly noticed by you and your guests.
meet the crew
Leah has expressed her artistic talent through the art of dance as well as the eye of the camera. Her interest in cinematography began as a second camera assistant for weddings and events many years ago. She then worked as an associate cinematographer for a video production company and eventually launched her own business, Selah Films, in 2014. Leah truly believes that every couple should have their love story told and feels honored when they choose her to capture their special day.
lead camera and final editor
Brittany is a storyteller to the core. Though originally a writer/journalist, she found her true passion as a filmmaker when managing the student-run TV station at UNH. She took that passion and ran with it as a freelance videographer with one goal in mind: to tell unique and meaningful stories through filmmaking. Brittany has since worked in video production for over 8 years and believes film is the most authentic & engaging way to capture moments, small and large.
first/second camera and editor
Mike has been creating videos since the age of seven. Out of everything he has done, cinematography and editing have always fascinated him the most. He's driven by the idea of creating every cinematic moment to trigger the feelings of his audience. He feels the highest emotions for the simplest of shots and he loves to edit to music.
I look forward to hearing from you! ~ Leah
